The Role
Part Time Video Editor – Contract Position
$20/hr | 10-15 Hrs/Week
Dearing Media Is Looking For A Part-Time Video Editor To Join Our Team!
The Video Editor Will Be Responsible For Editing All Video Content For Dearing Media Clients, & The Dearing Media / Howendearing Brands.
This Includes, But Is Not Limited To, One Weekly YouTube Video, Content Repurposing For Social Media, And Short Form Video Editing.
To Qualify For This Role, You Must Have Experience Editing For Different Platforms (Long Form For YouTube Vs. Short Form For Social Media) And Have Experience Using Frame.io, Descript & Notion.
This Role Would Position You As An Independent Contractor Working With Dearing Media.
As Dearing Media Grows In 2023/2024, We Hope To See This Team Member Evolve & Become A Full Time Employee.

- Edit 1 YouTube Video Per Week For Personal Brand
- Repurpose That YouTube Video Into Daily Social Media Content
- Edit All Client Short Form Social Media Videos
- Potentially Edit Podcast Episodes
- Brief Weekly Monday Team Meetings To Obtain Tasks For Week
- You Set Your Own Working Hours. As Long As The Work Is Completed & Done Exceptionally, We’re Flexible On When You Work.
- This Position Is Mostly Remote. If You Move Up Into A Videography Position We Would Love To Have You Near Fredericton To Help With Client Content Creation Days.
- Use Notion To Keep Team Updated On Your Progress
- Complete Assigned Weekly Tasks Before End Of Week
- Track + Submit Your Detailed Time
- Monthly Pay Outs For Your Time

- 3+ Years Of Video Editing Experience
- Has A Reliable Home Office That They Can Work From Remotely
- A Glass Half Full Attitude. Shit Happens, It’s How We Handle It That Matters
- Experience Managing Multiple Projects On Different Timelines
- A Passion For All Things Creative
- The Skillset To Shoot & Edit Short Form Video Content (Reels/TikToks)
- The Skillset To Shoot & Edit Long Form Video Content (YouTube)
- The Desire To Want To Continuously Learn New Skills Related To Videography

- The Love Of Pink
- Resides In Fredericton, As We Do Monthly Batch Shooting With Our Clients
- Bilingual (English + French)
- Has Their Own Videography Equipment
