That’s where a ring light comes in handy. It allows you to illuminate yourself and also provides a base for your phone so you don’t have to balance it precariously on something.

Ring lights are relatively inexpensive and can be found basically anywhere nowadays. Or, you could invest in a bigger, higher quality one if you want.

Either way, lighting is an important element in creating great content.

3. Backdrop

I’m a big believer in investing in your brand, and that includes your Instagram aesthetic. I’ve found that one of the best ways to do that is to purchase a backdrop in your brand colour.

I live in an apartment building where I can’t paint the walls of my unit, so I was finding it difficult to create content because I didn’t have designated spaces for it.
